We are pleased to announce that within the framework of the action for the development and utilization of the Municipality of Patras’ open data, Crowdpolicy has integrated data from the Sense.City platform, through which citizens can report city issues, actively contributing to the improvement of the urban environment.
Through Sense.City, citizens can easily, quickly, and anonymously report problems via their mobile phones or computers.
The home screen displays key statistics, such as the number of new and resolved issues, as well as an interactive map showing the location of each report. At a glance, users can be informed about the overall state of the city, identify areas with increased activity, and monitor the progress of resolutions in real time.
How it works
By selecting the location of the issue on the map or typing in its address, citizens can add a photo, comment, category, and additional details such as the type of problem, a brief description, or optional contact information, enabling Municipal services to respond more effectively.
With just a single click, citizens can record issues occurring at any moment, ranging from inadequate lighting to cleanliness or infrastructure concerns. This information immediately informs both fellow citizens and municipal services, contributing to rapid resolution and the collective improvement of the urban environment.
The platform enhances civic engagement and co-creation, inviting citizens and stakeholders to collaborate through data, transparency, and creativity.
Statistics and Interactive Map
Through the platform’s interactive dashboard and map, users can search by area, issue type, and date, seeing in real time where the most problems are located.
The data is updated dynamically as citizens continue to submit new reports and monitor their resolution progress.
The integration of Sense.City data into the Municipality of Patras’ open data ecosystem, implemented by Crowdpolicy, represents another step toward a “smarter” and more collaborative city. It highlights how open data and active citizen participation can contribute to shaping a smarter, more functional, and human-centric city.
